Message from Eder

Finca el turbante was born as a means of economic sustainability for the family that comes from the generations of my great-grandparents, grandparents and parents to reach me.
The harvest takes place from January to March.
Commercialization in the region is carried out through local merchants who have monopolized prices and it is very difficult to access quality markets.
That is why we are happy with these new businesses and grateful to the Canadian roasters who bring us new hopes.
In recent years our Xinca indigenous identity has been marginalized because of the invasion and imposition of a mining company called San Rafael mining company, which is owned by Pan American Silver. This company during its stay here in the region defames and criminalizes us, contaminates and destroy our lands, and the environment in general.

Thanks to BowsxArrows coffee roasters for organizing the Mataquescuintla group purchasing
