Resinas is a family farm that Maria and her husband bought roughly 25 years ago. When they purchased it the farm was already producing coffee, but 100% caturra. After the caturra disease they changed to more resisant varieties such as colombia & castillo. However, it was 16 years ago when Maria began her work as a coffee taster who focused on producing exotic varieties such as papayo and bourbon, and with that they implemented more processes. Today the Resinas farm produces 50% of its harvest as exceptional, exotic coffees.
Maria Belen is the daughter of second-generation coffee farmers. She has worked with coffee on different tasks since she was very young, but for the past 25 years she has been focused on producing and maintaining her own crops.
